About Us

Organised by the Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES), National Engineers Day (NED) is an annual celebration of the engineering profession, dedicated to honouring engineers and their invaluable contributions to society. The event aims to elevate the recognition of engineers, inspire future generations, and spark interest in the vast opportunities within engineering.

Since its launch in 2010, IES has collaborated with tertiary institutions, government agencies, engineering firms, and industry experts to curate an engaging and impactful programme each year.

Building on past successes, NED 2025 will embrace the theme:
‘Shaping the Future with Engineering Innovation’, reinforcing Singapore’s position as a Global-Asia innovation hub, where engineering excellence drives solutions to global challenges and enhances lives.

Mark your calendars! The 16th edition of NED will take place from 28 July to 1 August 2025, featuring a dynamic lineup of talks, workshops, and guided tours designed to showcase engineering ingenuity, highlight groundbreaking projects, and provide valuable insights into the future of engineering careers.

At the heart of NED 2025, the Engineering Innovation Challenge (EIC) will once again take centre stage. Now in its 11th edition, this nationwide competition challenges students—from secondary schools to universities – to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems. With the strong backing of the Ministry of Education and key industry partners, EIC offers participants hands-on experience, mentorship from professional engineers, and a platform to showcase their creativity and problem-solving skills.

Join us at NED 2025 and be part of the movement shaping the future through engineering innovation!
