Welcome to National Engineers Day (NED) 2025!

It is with great excitement that I invite you to join us for the 16th edition of NED, a flagship event dedicated to celebrating the extraordinary contributions of engineers and inspiring the next generation to follow in their footsteps.

For over 60 years, engineers have played a pivotal role in shaping Singapore’s remarkable transformation. As we navigate an era of rapid technological advancements, global disruptions, and an escalating climate crisis, engineering remains at the heart of innovation – offering boundless opportunities for young minds to be the change we need.

This vision is the driving force behind NED 2025’s theme:
‘Shaping the Future with Engineering Innovation’ – a call to action for students to actively contribute to Singapore’s growth as a Global-Asia innovation hub, where engineering talent drives solutions to global challenges and enhances lives worldwide.

With a strong foundation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), today’s students are well-positioned to lead Singapore’s next wave of transformation. However, true learning goes beyond the classroom – it thrives on curiosity, exploration, and hands-on experiences. NED 2025 is designed to ignite this passion, offering an exciting lineup of industry talks, interactive workshops, and exclusive guided tours to inspire young minds and showcase the limitless possibilities in engineering.

More than just an event, NED is an immersive experience. At its core is the Engineering Innovation Challenge (EIC) – an international competition that brings together local and international student teams to develop groundbreaking solutions to real-world problems. Under the mentorship of professional engineers, participants will unleash their creativity, tackle pressing global issues, and bring their ideas to life.
